A community mod for Claude Code
Your next great conversation is a loading screen away. Meet another human in your terminal while Claude handles the task.
Text only. No account. Just a little serendipity.
❯ make something people will love
Good things happen in between
No feed to scroll. No profile to perfect.
Just two people with a moment to spare.
Give Claude a task. Open /roulette and join the lounge while the work happens.
Get paired with someone else between prompts. Pick interests, choose a language, or go fully random.
Skip for a new face, pause for a moment, or keep chatting after Claude finishes. You set the pace.
Small window. Plenty of possibility.
A native Claude Code pane and a colorful standalone terminal client. Your conversation lives right beside your work.
Find people who share your interests, match by language, or leave it to chance. Sometimes random is the whole point.
Change the conversation in a keystroke. Skip, pause, resume, or stay a little longer. No awkward goodbyes required.
Typing indicators, icebreakers, message history, and keyboard shortcuts. Enough to feel comfortable. Easy to get out of the way.
Join with a generated pseudonym. No email signup, camera, or microphone. Show up as yourself, with a little mystery.
An adults-only lounge with rules, report and block controls, and moderation. Be kind, respect a no, and keep it human.
Make yourself at home
Grab the public client and launch Claude with the mod. It connects to the lounge automatically. Then type /roulette, accept the lounge rules, and start a task.

The mod never sends your prompts, files, code, repository paths, or Claude transcripts. Stranger messages stay in the chat pane and never enter Claude's context or tools.
Chat text is transient and is not saved to the server database. The server processes messages, so this is not end-to-end encrypted. Identity hashes, moderation records, and aggregate usage metrics are retained to operate the lounge. Avoid sharing anything sensitive.
A few things you might wonder
Still curious? The client source is public.

No. The mod does not send prompts, code, files, repository paths, tool output, or Claude transcripts. Stranger messages stay in the chat pane and are never passed to Claude. Your partner sees only what you choose to send in chat.
Matching pauses and your partner is notified. Enable Keep chat when Claude finishes to continue your current conversation. Starting a new match still requires an active task. Pause leaves your room; Turn off disconnects the mod.
None of the above. Chat is text-only, with a generated pseudonym and a local identity token. There is no email registration. The lounge is for adults aged 18 or older, and you must accept the community rules before connecting.
Chat text is transient and is not written to the server database. The service retains identity hashes, generated aliases, moderation records, and aggregate operational metrics. Messages pass through the server and are not end-to-end encrypted.
You can leave or skip at any time. Block prevents future matching with that identity. Report records the reason and also blocks the person. Keep personal details to yourself, respect boundaries, and do not share sexual, hateful, harassing, or illegal content.
Yes. The public repository includes a standalone terminal client for Node.js 24.8 or later. It connects to the same lounge and lets you set task status yourself. You can also try the offline demo first.
The lounge is free to use. Matching needs another person who is available and uses the same selected language. If the lounge is quiet, you will stay in the queue until someone joins. Share the project with a friend and try it together.
